At 850 Lafayette Street, between Lafayette and Miramar in downtown Cape Coral, Lodge #2596 has been doing what Elks do best: showing up for the community. Members gather here for monthly meetings, charity drives, and the kind of camaraderie that you simply cannot manufacture. The 4.5-star rating across more than 100 reviews tells you this isn't a dusty hall collecting cobwebs. It's an active, welcoming organization with real people doing real work.

Step inside and you'll find a place that runs on genuine hospitality. The staff and members have earned a reputation for being genuinely awesome, and that word keeps showing up in reviews for a reason. Every visit feels less like attending a function and more like dropping in on a group of friends who happen to care deeply about Cape Coral, FL and the causes that make it stronger.

Out back, the brick oven pizzeria is the kind of detail that catches first-timers off guard. This isn't a frozen-slice operation. It's a proper wood-fired setup that turns a lodge night into something worth circling on the calendar. Open house weekends happen once a month, giving curious neighbors a low-pressure chance to learn what the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is actually about.

What We Offer

Lodge #2596 is more than a meeting hall. It is a platform for community impact, and the programming reflects that. Monthly open houses are held for prospective members who want to explore the organization before committing. These events are casual, informative, and a genuinely good way to meet people who are already invested in making Cape Coral better.

The lodge hosts regular member meetings for existing Elks and affiliated groups, providing a consistent, well-run venue that organizations in the area rely on. Charitable initiatives run year-round, covering youth programs, veterans' support, and local scholarships tied to the national Elks mission.

And then there's the brick oven pizzeria in the rear of the property. Open during lodge events, it serves as the social anchor of any evening here, turning a committee meeting or charity night into something people actually look forward to attending.

"the plaza that they are in is very small, so there is not a lot of parking. So my brother parked in their parking lot and as soon as they get out the car the owner starts yelling at him that he can’t park there, even tho there’s no signs saying this is parking besides one parking spot. So i was walking over to my brother and the owner came at me very aggressively demanding me to tell him where i’m parked and i told him that it’s nun of his business because i’m not on the lot, and him and some lady sitting at the bar start yelling at me and belittling me, and the owner said that i look like i belong in the farm because of my piercings. They have horrible customer service. Definitely don’t recommend going here."

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
